The Virginia

Description:

These plans for the Virginia show a side view and a top view with the casemate partly cut away. The awkward, 263-foot ship weighed 3,200 tons. She carried eight broadside guns and a bow and stern gun, both designed to pivot and fire through any one off the three ports.
